The West Deptford Junior Women’s Club is committed to service to the community and fellowship among members.
The West Deptford Junior Women’s Club is one of the over 250 clubs throughout New Jersey that are part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) and the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs (NJSFWC). The NJSFWC was founded in 1894 and has been headquarted on the campus of Douglass College in New Brunswick since 1966. The Federation is the oldest and largest nonpartisan, non-denominational women’s volunteer service organization in the world. Opportunities are provided to women in education, leadership training, and community service enabling women to make a difference in the lives of others.
The Juniors donate time, energy, and creativity to local service projects that benefit the township of West Deptford and it’s residents. Other charities are also supported, which benefit our veterans, pediatric hospitals, state coastlines, and much, much more. Members also enjoy social activities like hot yoga, book clubs, and mani-pedi nights. Local women 18+ are encouraged to attend monthly meetings and find out how they can participate for fun and service!
Business Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month at Riverwinds Community Center at 7:00 p.m. September through June, with socials scheduled for June and December at local restaurants. Board meetings are held the Sunday prior to the Business Meeting at the home of a Board member, or at a local breakfast hotspot.
